Tooth Extractions for Wilmington, DE
Tooth extraction is a common and safe procedure that can improve oral health, appearance, and occlusion in some patients. If your teeth are crowded, or if you have too many teeth overall, extraction can create more space in your mouth, which may allow remaining teeth to move into their proper position. For an internally infected or significantly damaged tooth, extraction may be necessary prior to placing prosthetics (a dental implant, denture, partial, or bridge.) Another common treatment involves removing wisdom teeth, or third molars, to improve oral health and comfort.
Our dentists provide most oral surgery, including extractions, in the comfort of our new Wilmington dental office. In some cases, especially with impacted wisdom teeth or where a patient needs general anesthesia, we will refer to an oral surgeon.
