Kira is a freshman at Delaware Military Academy and for her English class was assigned to write an essay about her favorite teacher. Kira’s favorite teacher was her middle school (Brandywine Springs School) Spanish teacher, Mrs. Beverly Igo. Kira wrote a beautiful essay and all the students had to submit their essays to TeenInk.com. Kira’s essay was chosen #1 for January 7, 2017 and was featured on the front page of the Nonfiction/Educator of the Year section of TeenInk.com for the entire day. Since Kira almost never checks her email, she did not find out about this until March 2017, and apparently it’s not on the website anymore, but we are very proud of Kira, and we are thankful that Kira has had so many wonderful, dedicated teachers at Brandywine Springs and Delaware Military Academy, including her favorite Mrs. Igo.
Yu-gi-oh is a very popular card game that Dr Mike’s stepson Corey and his girlfriend Ella enjoy playing. They travel throughout the country playing various Yu-gi-oh tournaments. Corey was recently honored to be ranked the #1 Yu-gi-oh player in the United States for 2016-2017. Congratulations Corey!

Kira is a freshman at Delaware Military Academy and just finished her first year Spanish class. Dr. Mike brought in her essay so that our bilingual employees, Ashley and Allie, could read it. He then took this video of their reactions.
While Dr Mike was working on Yarilin Galindez, Yarilin’s daughter Jozi was busy coloring a picture for Dr. Mike (as well as keeping up constant banter with everyone in the room). Jozi is a very intelligent 5-year-old who wants to be a nurse when she grows up. At the conclusion of the appointment, Jozi then presented the beautiful picture to Dr. Mike.
