Three-year-old Sara is a very articulate and entertaining young lady who had her first ever dentist appointment at Wahl Family Dentistry. She was kind enough to talk about it with Dr Mike afterward.

Dr Patrick Whilby always loved coming with his family to Wahl Family Dentistry as a little boy in the early 1990s and dreamed about being a dentist like Dr Mike and his uncle Dr Marc Roberts in Atlanta. He ultimately went to the University of Delaware to study biology and then Howard University School of Dental Surgery, where he graduated with his DDS degree in 2015. He is now one of Dr Mike’s dental residents at the dental clinic of Christiana Care and plans to join his uncle in Atlanta in practice in July 2016. What a great story Dr Whilby! Congratulations.

Jonas Wahl is a 3rd grade student at Mount Pleasant Elementary School and the son of Drs. Pat and Jean. Lucky for him, he got both Jean’s good looks and high intelligence. He recently interviewed Dr. Jean for a project in the human body for his science unit and dressed up as a dentist. He also did a beautiful poster presentation. Great job Jonas!

Attila Brisco is one of our dental assistants and a student at Hodgson Vo-Tech High School. Attila has been accepted to college and hopes to be a dentist. He is also captain of the wrestling team and this past weekend went 3-1 at Newark Yellowjacket Invitational, finishing 2nd out of 17 teams. Way to go Atilla!

Our family enjoys taking care of Corey’s dog Kona. Tina says he’s a very smart dog. I say he’s a very nice dog — not necessarily very smart –but very nice. Here he is in his Christmas get up.

We enjoyed our annual holiday party on December 2, this year at Ed Oliver Golf Club. Thank you to all our employees who are so dedicated to our patients and thank you Tina for organizing this fun event.
